Glenn Hoddle Academy Club Supports Morocco Community Challenge
The Glenn Hoddle Academy Club has donated a range of football equipment and clothing to the newly established Gibraltar Charity ‘RifCom’ as part of its ongoing support for football development.
Rifcom is a Gibraltar registered charity incorporated with the specific aim to assist and support poverty stricken areas in the Moroccan Riff Mountains through a ‘hands on approach’ conducted by volunteers with the help and generosity of sponsors.

The Glenn Hoddle Academy was able to support this worthwhile initiative with a donation of training kit and equipment that was distributed to Moroccan youngsters from the town of Chefchaouen, helping them look the part in their day-long football programme organised and supervised by the charity.
The children of Chefchaouen had never experienced a football programme before and were over the moon to receive the equipment, ensuring they looked the part for their day of footballing fun.
For days after the football programme, children were still seen practicing their new footballing skills and wearing the kit all around the town.
Chris Moore Glenn Hoddle Academy Chief Executive said: “We were delighted to lend our support to this worthwhile charity which aims to improve the lives of those less fortunate in some of the poorest areas of Morocco. The kit and equipment seemed to go down very well and with luck there may be some budding football stars of the future who kicked off their careers thanks to the excellent work of the charity.”

RifCom Team Leader Chris Deacon said: “We are so grateful to the Glenn Hoddle Academy for their support and on behalf of the children, who’s gratitude was overwhelming, may we offer our sincere thanks for their generosity and continued support”.
