Glenn Hoddle Academy Trial Registration Now Open
The Glenn Hoddle Professional Football Development Academy has opened registrations for the next round of UK trials for players being released from professional clubs.
Trials for a full-time place at the academy are being arranged at specific centres around the UK and are open to players aged over 18 who have been or who are about to be released.
Every year hundreds of players are released from professional clubs. The Glenn Hoddle Academy is designed to offer some of these players a second and often final chance of a career in football, and without the academy, some players face being lost to the game.
The Glenn Hoddle Academy is a unique professional football development centre, based in Spain at the impressive Montecastillo Resort, in Jerez. Players live-in at the academy and receive personal training and development from Glenn Hoddle and his team of internationally recognised and respected coaching staff.
Following the recent success of players from the academy securing professional contracts and returning to the pro game, the academy is now looking to recruit more players to replace them.
Competition for places at the trials is tough and with hundreds of applications being received, only the players with the right ability, attitude and potential will be offered a trial and the potential to earn a valuable scholarship to the academy.
Players can apply for the trials through the academy’s web site at www.glennhoddleacademy.com
Glenn Hoddle said: “For many of the players that are invited to our trials, this is a last chance and footballing lifeline. So many players are released from professional clubs and just stop playing football. I believe that some if these lads just had more time to develop, in different surroundings they can still make it at the very top of the game.
“We regularly hold trials in the UK and successful players are then invited out to Spain for a period of further assessment where we put them through their paces and also let them experience academy life in Spain.
“Players need to apply on-line through our website and if they are successful, we will invite them along to one of a number of trials across the UK over the next month.”
