Glenn Hoddle Kicks Off Latest Talent Search
The Glenn Hoddle Academy has held its latest UK trials this week at the Walkers Stadium Leicester.
Twenty-six players joined Glenn and his team for a day-long trial, designed to identify talented players to join Glenn at the Academy in Spain on a full scholarship.
Players attending the trials have all been released from Premier League and Championship clubs and were handpicked to attend the most recent try-outs under the watchful eye of Glenn Hoddle.
The trials identified a number of players that have now been invited to the Academy base in Southern Spain for a period of further assessment with Glenn and his team of internationally recognised coaches.
Successful players now have the opportunity to receive a unique scholarship to the Academy which will develop them individually and prepare them for a return to the game at the highest levels.
Glenn Hoddle said: “I was really impressed with the talent at Leicester. The lads all performed well and it is always a difficult decision to choose which players we take down to Spain.
“The fortunate ones will have the chance to develop their skills further in a unique environment, playing matches against top quality Spanish clubs and having the time to develop to their full potential, something not always possible in the UK.
“We were also very lucky to have access to the Walkers Stadium, which provided a superb environment for the lads, thanks to the team at Leicester for their hospitality and support.”
The Glenn Hoddle Academy uniquely sources talented young footballers from around the world and provides them with the highest quality specialist football coaching in southern Spain.
