New Chief Scout is Latest Glenn Hoddle Academy Recruit
The Glenn Hoddle Academy has appointed George Foster in the role of Chief Scout. George joins the Academy immediately.
An accomplished player, manager, academy director and scout, George has a wealth of experience in talent identification and selection and joins the Glenn Hoddle Academy taking responsibility for its international scouting operation.
The Academy is currently scouting players released from Premier League and Championship clubs in England and George will spend his time travelling the length of the country assessing potential players for the Academy.
In addition, the scouting network will also look further afield into Europe and beyond as the Academy grows and, with limited places available at the Academy, this places greater importance on the talent identification process.
George Foster said: “I am really looking forward to working with Glenn again. His Academy is a breath of fresh air in the football industry and I am looking forward to playing a key role in the Academy’s future development."
Glenn Hoddle said: “I am delighted that George has joined the team at the Academy. I have worked with him in the past and greatly value his football knowledge, experience and his keen eye for a talented player.
“He joins the Academy at an exciting time, our first intake of players are performing very well and we are now looking to bring in new players, released from top-flight clubs, making scouting the next group of players essential to the Academy’s success.”

Aspiring professional footballer Fergus Bell, aged 19, from Durham, has received a scholarship to the prestigious Glenn Hoddle Academy, a unique professional football development centre, based at the Montecastillo Resort in Jerez, Southern Spain.
